I started with fairview at fist, but now I'm thinking this game came out first then fairview. Regardless let me say what I have to say for this one.

I really enjoyed this one. It was difficult compared to most of your games and it got me spooked at some moments. Plus I LOVE LOVE LOVE the fact that we're finally going DOOM MODE WITH A SHOTGUN and shooting down everything in our way. Haven't used a gun since "The more bit know zero", so it's nice to see that.

So our story here takes place at the "McMillan Tree Lot"

(Note:) You titled it "McMilian", but dialouge says "McMillan", so which one is it. Nothing clearly to bad, but I noticed it at the start.

We play as Cynthia, a mild mannered tree saleswoman who faces off against supernatural entities, because everyone in Fairview does, my god. I like the fact that we see Mr. Boyd, the Demon looking Dog from Vermander Curse. (I LOVE the call back to that) and he's buying a nice tree to warm up his family. Before ending the night, Cynthia knows that one client is still here and has to rescue him, down a repeating corridor of trees, which very much reminded me of the "PLAY MAZE", a repeating area with safe areas that are familiar but not real.

When it comes to gameplay, it's fun just shooting. I thought it was weird when I had to use space to shoot. Left click is usually for that, but I know it's always for interacting to it's fine. I like the fact that I got infinite ammo too, so turn up the DOOM MUSIC. I instinctively shot the red nutcrackers at first and I was glad to, because they start moving when you run past them. Blue one's move towards you, and Green ones take 2 shots to kill. It;s quite simple to understand all that.

I like how the trees slowly grow larger as well as the corridor which makes it hard to see oncoming enemies.  You can essentially just swerve past enemies, but it's not fun if you didn't shoot them of course. Coming into the final run, I did like the fact that some nutcrackers moved at fast speeds, which makes them unavoidable so they must be shot (nice touch) and the overall atmosphere and growing trees were also great.

LORE TIME:

I remember asking about the Gretel wood tree in the last game and I'm really happy you brought it back to here. No wonder it felt like the "Play Maze" with it's repeating yet longer sections the deeper you went into the maze. Plus, just like the statue, it calls upon unsuspecting people and lures them in. Since the statue was just a small part of the Gretel wood tree, the base of the statue, it could only call weak minded people like elderly and children, but knowing that this was the main tree, I knew it was capable of luring anyone.

I did like the introduction of the character Monty. I really like his design, he's seems like a cute fella hehe. Also he's very chill, like he was escaping with his hands in his pockets like nothing's happening.

In conclusion, this was a fun and challenging game. I definitely think this was more fun than Fairview files, but Fairview was more scary compared to this one. I can't wait to see what else you've got cooking ZED.

Your #3.057 fan,

Based Boi

TWO, not one, but TWO GAMES ZED?!!!! HOLY!!!! AND LORE TOO. Both were pretty short, but I must admit, these 2 were the hardest one's you've made since The Fish's Tale.

Let me begin with Fairview Tale.

So it seems like the town that all these games take place in is called "Fairview". I'm glad this is finally established. Dalia seems like your typical spunky detective with a hard attitude, yet has a sense of adventure for solving a mystery, if that makes sense. We're clearly playing as her nephew Ted who came across the cemetery because he wanted Chicken quickly (quite relatable) and he lost his keys because of the deadly spirits of said cemetery. Now he has to shovel up graves in order to find 5 keys in order to escape.

The concept seems simple enough. Dig up graves, avoid spirits, and run away or use an orb to fight them off. At first I thought I could open up any grave and I got a pretty good scare out of them because of the black graves. I assumed I would be capable of outrunning the spirits, but I learned that the hard way.

(NOTE:) I appreciate the fact that you can continue from where you left off after dying. I didn't know that until I tried 4 times. You can easily lose if you're not paying attention enough.

I will say it is quite balanced for what it is. There are a lot of graves and only 5 keys, but you can dig fast and basically go through an entire row in 10 seconds. I always had to keep watch off the spirits and luckily had orbs to use because you can outrun them unless if it's a straight line.

I didn't try opening a different coffin after a collected all 5 keys, but I can only assume it's a simple game over from there. I liked the fact that Ted hit the ghost with a shovel at the end haha.

There's not much to say lore wise, but it seems like a step into knowing a small bit about the town or how it's attracting attention from outside parties. I WAS ESPECIALLY SURPRISED when I saw ZERO thicc characters in not only this game, but the other as well. Still, I digress, I'm not mad or anything and clearly I'm just joking, but like damn, no thicc girls today ZED. I will say though, it's kinda refreshing to play as a male character this time, which hasn't been done since the "Vermander Curse", so it's a whole new breath of fresh air sort of.

In the end, this was a bit of a challenging game, but I enjoyed it and I would like to challenge everyone here to try and beat the game without continuing. One full run without dying basically. It shouldn't be as hard, but a slip up can get you.

Thanks for a good one,

Based Boi

ZED ZED, I'm glad you're not dead!!!

It's been a few months since the last game and I'm happy to see you've made another good one. I was literally thinking about you randomly yesterday and when I checked my email it notified me that you posted a new game. Coincidence or fate Zed? Regardless, this new game definitely made my heart race once more and I'm happy to share my thoughts and ideas again in a large essay format of Captain Warrington's Play Maze.

So in this story of unfortunate workers trying to get by, we have a mother bat woman, Betty-Anne, and her son Albert. After they finished eating at the Warrington fast food chain (Basically MCDonalds) Betty-Anne leaves to use the restroom as her son Albert is drawn in my a mysterious presence, which asks him to go into the play maze. Obviously it's the pirate statue and like most kids in horror genres, they foolishly get pulled into a strange world of sorts. Our protagonists involve employee Ashley, and her manager Penny. Btw love the designs as usual, but I like Ashley the most. I've GYATT to hand it to you man, you make them so thicc and fine it's giving me brain rot, but the good kind. Ashley is a more tough-minded woman who is like our common day to day fastfood workers, and Penny is a kind hearted manager just like most managers in the real world, because they have to act nicely I guess. Apparently Penny notices the door with the "No Entry" sign is open and they basically go "Ahhh shit, here we go again" and go in to retrieve Albert.

The gameplay is rather simple. You have "12 minutes", EMPHASIS ON MINUTES" to go through each level of the maze, all while solving simple problems to pass through each obstacle. This goes from placing down a correct shape, answering a math problem, and rearranging numbers in order. Also dead ends are placed which can psyche out the player You get to choose between Ashley or Penny to go into the maze. Ashley moves a lot faster and apparently she doesn't get penalized from getting answers wrong on obstacles. As for Penny, she's the manager, which I found funny, but she also see arrows that lead towards the right way when between 2 paths. In regards to her being the manager, I think the phone you use gives you hints as what to do when faced with an obstacle

- Zed, I tested to see what penalties there were for getting answers wrong as Penny, but I didn't see any. I don't know what I was supposed to see, but I tried like 5 times on multiple obstacles and nothing really happened besides a sound effect which told me I'm wrong. Perhaps I didn't notice it but please tell me.

- Something to also note is that the timer is not 12 minutes, but rather a quarter that time (3 minutes), at least from what I timed it to be. Cause every minute lasts 15 seconds.

The game makes who light on your toes and making sure you don't waste a single moment of your time, especially if you're Penny. I tried both characters, and I definitely think Penny is a harder character to use, mainly for her slow speed. For Ashley, dead ends aren't that bad because they're not long. You can take a few steps into one you'll know immediately it's a dead end. With Ashley I had like 3 or 4 minutes to spare on the room 6, but I had 10-20 seconds for Penny. It's definitely harder than most of your games here for sure

I love the way the game is designed in terms of how it feels like it doesn't cut or load into the next room. It's one big winding pathway and it makes me wonder how you made it. Did you make a random generator that leads towards the exact same location, or did you really make one huge map, because I feel like endless mode would be a nightmare for you if it was like that.

- Also I forgot to mention there's an endless mode, which I can apparently access before even starting the game. Endless mode is as it states, although I never really went deeper past room 11. I'm not sure if I can lose, but I still appreciate the fact that you even added an endless mode anyways. It's usually a harder difficulty that's added, but yeah, it's something new and I like that you made it anyway.

The fact you never put music into your games, it's what makes your games scary in the first place. Anything with sound effects just has been scared and when there's no other noise than that, it makes for a terrifying experience. I had wondered if something was going to chase me in the maze, but sadly nothing. Although, the idea of it did get to my head. Also with how small your field of view is in the game, anything that's just standing in front of me just got me, especially the Captain. Dumb looking Cpt, Jack Sparrow looking ass, got I hate how just walking within a few feet of him just spooked me. Also thanks a lot for the jumpscare at room 0, I actually screamed a bit from that cause you never really pull those in your games. Overall, the horror factor is good as usual from you.

Now onto lore. So apparently the Warrington Company was going bankrupt, bad sales, unethical, etc like any big company, so they decided to create a mascot to help with that. The pirate mascot was decided and they made statues out of BONE and ASH paint, along with a GRETEL WOOD base, and somehow it gave it the ability to bend space and time, and even mind control people, which lead the Warrington company to flourish. Of course with unethical use of powerful beings, the statues would lure people into going into the maze and doing something to them in a supply closet, which we don't know what, but it's always gonna be bad. A whistle blower helped provide info on the matter to other fast food chains of the place, but now they remain laying low and hope to shed light on the situation to the public someday. Ashley or Penny are able to save Albert and they treat it as if it was another day. Sadly Ashley wonders if they can stop the pirate from taking more people in worries of messing up, but Penny says that it's pretty much their duty. I wish the best for them and everyone in your games too.

I have a few questions regarding the lore of your games.

1. Do all your games take place within the same town/state/area, because they all feel connected with recurring characters?

2. Gretel Wood sounds important somehow. Was there anything like that mentioned in your other games? if not, will it be? I don't know, maybe it's nothing at all.

3. I know all your games aren't really lore heavy, but do you have any plans to make a more lore oriented game/story? The people of this town suffer from mysterious forces just by living a minimum wage job and corporations that do shady stuff. Will we eventually get a closer look into these corporations at all?

Anyways, you made another banger of a game Zed. Part of me feels silly for making long essay reviews of your game, but I've been doing it with each one so far and it's pretty fun to do. I hope that maybe I can also make long for review videos of other games if I had time, but I'm glad I'm doing something for your games a least. Hope you're doing well Zed, I'll see you in the next game

From,

That one guy who makes long essays for your games lmao

ZED ZED ZED, YOU'RE STILL NOT DEAD!!!

I was wondering when you were gonna post a new game. The night before you posted this one, I was actually thinking about you and when you would come back and it looks like it got willed into existence, so that's amazing. Once again, you have made another game that always keeps my heart racing, so I'm ready to talk about it once more.

Let's talk about characters first. I enjoy your usual designs for characters, a nice thicc lady, and this time it's someone who resembles some mythical creature, which I don't know about. I wanna say manticore, but I'm probably wrong. I like Deborah as a character, mostly because her attitude fits along a lot of the characters in your games. Basically the town which I assume it the exact same town that all the games take place is in, happens to be filled with hardworking people getting the worst possible scenario, and every time it happens they go "FUK WE BALL". It cracks me up every time. Even the broadcast warning had me go "aww shit here we go again. I'm just a regular hard working woman, working for a shady and terrible company, while woodland creature number 27 tries to kill me again." Still, it's always funny just to see that these characters are just willing to survive a long night just to earn another paycheck to keep the lights on in the house. I also like Sammy. He's a snake and a supportive one at that. Love the little guy.

Heading into gameplay, I like this new concept you pulled out, which is basically delivering online orders through a computer. I have a batch of orders and I basically need to process them in the computer has some woodland critter gets into the house. The gameplay reminds me of the Vermand Curse, where you basically do certain tasks to keep the monster away while doing something else on the side. Rather than waiting for a specific time to give medicine, I have to fill out orders before 6am. Btw during my first run, I wasn't sure if the monster would constantly keep trying to get into the house, but I was assured that the flickering lights would only cause change in things. At the end of the first run, I was able to survive, BUT I didn't complete my last order and got fired. BIG L. Still, like most of the games, as I progress, things get more harder as they go.

I think the amount of time to complete everything to stop the lights from flickering is very generous, too generous if I might add. If you had added a hard mode, I would say just add more things to do and make the time to complete them even shorter. I counted about 10 flickers before I had failed, and I think that's a bit too generous in my opinion.

In terms of the horror factor, well goddamn you always keep my heart racing with some of your games. The monster is honestly terrifying. I hate the fact that you never get to see it fully because it's behind the window or door or it's too fast, but that's what makes it scary. Only catching a glimpse of your monsters is always so scary and the fact that you don't get to see it when it gets you is also scary too, but upsetting cause I don't get to see it all.

Note: I would like to see a possible section for models to look at in future games cause I'm interested in what you make here.

Continuing. The fact that you never put music in games, just makes me more anxious. Instead I get some humming background noise which barely helps me at all. The shadow jumpscare during the final batch fucking got me, which was awesome because you barely add jumpscares, but it's nice to see once in a while. Like I said earlier, barely seeing the creature behind the window door, and while it's running was a nice touch as well.

Heading towards the future, I'm very curious as to what goes on within the companies that your characters work for. They always seem very sketchy and they basically have no moral for human rights, so maybe we'll see something there. I'm kinda hoping to play a game that takes place in a bigger area, like and office building or something because most of your games that place in a small area, except for Fish tale, which I did love.

Anyways Zed, another nice game, and I'm hoping for more good stuff from you. Take breaks, enjoy your work, and I'll be hoping to see you next time.

Your number #1 reviewer,

BasedBoi

Zed zed I’m glad you’re not dead. It’s been a few months since the last game and I was a bit worried you were gone, but I knew you were taking time to make something good. This game I will say is a pretty good start off to your come back after these past few months, so let’s dive into it. The gameplay was pretty fun for the most part. The task was simple in finding ingredients to put into a bowl and afterwards going down a path to grab some chains. The parasites were fucking creepy my guy and I was afraid of touching them. I laughed when I pressed the space button cause I DIDNT EVEN THINK that a GIANT ASS LASER was gonna shoot out of an amulet, but it was THE BEST way to get rid of those creepy looking bastards. 5 shots is pretty generous but once I got to the 4th chain is was needed, although the 5th chain was unlimited shots which is fair when I’m facing like 5 parasites in total.

Now for the story. We get new characters with such “amazing” designs which is just your style like usual. Our girl Angela Angler (that’s the last name I’m giving her) is helping our Monica Matte (I couldn’t think of a better last name) because she was requested from Red Post Pages which yay cause it’s a reference to many character’s jobs throughout the games. Apparently there’s this big fish, which I’m like wow, what an odd fish, but it looks cute honestly. But that fish can cause a large famine and disasters to the area.

So this got me thinking on a theory. I’m highly sure that the game is set in the same town like all the other games have, and I think that a long time ago the fish had awoken and caused terror to the town before Monica’s father stopped it. This would most likely explain why the town is in such a terrible shape, why all these people need to take random jobs. From the Vermanders and fish, they have caused this town to turn in a terrible state as it is. Though I guess that’s a stretch. But I’d like to to think that’s what it is.

There were a few errors that I saw in the game. Monica says the word “preform” but I’m sure it’s supposed to be “perform” she also mentions at the last run if you got the “fourth” chain, but it should be the “fifth” chain, and when she places all the chains in the barrel, it only shows 4 chains and not 5. It’s not too bad but it’s something that I noticed while playing for the first time.

At that end, I must say, it was a wonderful game, and I’m glad to see you’re back. The game isnt so bad on tough mode, but I did suffer a bit near the end for sure. Your games are creepy for sure, even if they seem like simple designs, you really know how to make it scary. Woods and tall creatures are something I wouldn’t want to see myself. I hope to see another one soon. Keep it up Zed, hope the money helps you out.

Zed is back with a new game and I downloaded it so fast I forgot to comment about it.

I was surprised to see that you made a part 2 to this, and I'm surprised I had to pay for it. I will say this, I will gladly pay for your games zed. You've given out fun games for free, so it's literally the least I can do, as well as the rest of your fans. I hope this money helps you, along with making bigger games my friend.

Now onto the game itself. Concept wise, it's like the last one of course, read the book and figure out how to hide. simple. This time the pages are scattered, so I made thicc mama rabbit run around the area collecting pages like slender man, except his cousin from michigan is after you. Simple and done, the game was over and I got the best ending, so I loved that.

Now most importantly, the story. I was hella surprised to see that this game takes place 20+ years after the first. I loved that fact that Junior is grown up and is working at Stahl and co shipping company from "antiques and antiquities", I love that mama rabbit hasn't even aged in her years, she still fine, and I love that Junior has a kid named Audrey, it's pretty nostalgic to the first game. We also get an amazing cameo from J.P. GOATmander from his game too. Plus that bathtub from the first game stayed as well, how sweet.

Still, I'm really surprised that its 20+ years into the future, where most of your games take places in. I assume that everyone we've played as so far lives within a similar area or story, so it's always cool to see them interacting with each other. It's nice to see junior and his family having a nicer place to live compared to how it was all those years ago. It sucks to know that the man has been chasing them for all those years, I feel so bad for them, but it's amazing to know that they've been protecting the town from him by being the only ones he's chased for so long, at least I hope that's the case.

Anyways, another solid game from you Zed. it's cool to see you come around back the first game after everything you've made so far. I hope to see a game surrounding Bartleby's bakery, because I feel like you had something for that in "The more bit know Zero" as a concept for it's 2nd game, at least that's what I remembered. Anywho keep it up, I look forward to the next.

(1 edit)

For once Zed, I actually got an email saying that you published a new game, and I finally got to it.

To start with, this was obviously a very quick game. It just seemed like a fun little concept that I assumed you thought about and quickly went at it, and I appreciate that for the most part, I do enjoy playing your games.

This game was simplistic, nothing too big, probably the shortest game that you made alongside "man from the window". A simple scavenger hunt with hints that made me run around the apartments and look for boxes. It was pretty fun to do, make my brain work you know.

We got a new character named Maggie, I'll be honest, probably not my most favorite design, (Least favorite being the more bit know 0) but she's funny. I just randomly clicked on a box and got it wrong, but seeing that dialogue where she just knocks the guy out just made me laugh hard. And then you had to go and put him into a deep come where he's just gone BRO. I like how it said that for the doctor, "SHE" tried to wake him up, which I would highly assume that it would Dr. Eda in the game, so nice callback.

SPOILER, i guess, but not really, the game's short, but I like the idea that Philip just wanted to spook little Jimmy, but would end up getting knocked the fuck out by Maggie is just so good. I'm hoping that you'll be able to make a game that follows Phillip's tribe of, what I assume is Wendigos, and another poor soul angering them.

Overall, I think that was a nice little gift from you before the new year, and I enjoyed it all. A short game, with simplistic controls, concepts, and a pretty funny story. Don't take my review too much close to heart, especially this one, cause it was a simple short game, but I always enjoy writing reviews for your games just to see where it'll take you, Thanks Zed, and Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, Happy new year :)

Alright Zed, you're back at it again with another game, which I gladly came across once more. SOOOOOOOOOOOO let's get to it. First off, I really enjoyed this one, mainly for its concept.

It's definitely new compared to your last few games that's for sure. In terms of gameplay, it's generally simple, but I did appreciate the constant distractions that came my way as the difficulty increased. I would suggest though, maybe a hard mode one day, mainly because of the fact that the game itself is pretty easy. That's usually my main "complaint" about it being too easy, but I will say this. I like the fact that you don't put music into your games, and there's just some background noise that makes me uneasy, so I appreciate that scare factor. If anything, I'm always uneased when it comes to horror games, so I was rather happy I didn't have to go inside the warehouse, but it would be an interesting concept to add, where you can switch between gracei, and faye and mike, just to remember your surroundings and where to go, without having Gracie just choosing where to go. Regardless, the concept was pretty cool, I got jumpscared by on the final run. I would've preferred if the 2 gods would've shown up around the 5th or 6th treasure just to increase that difficulty.

Now for storywise, I liked it. I love that call back to Morton from Vermander curse, and how he mentioned that his "friend" which I assume is Vermander used RedPostPages to find a job, and I liked how Morton screamed for Eda after the pc caught fire. I think it was interesting to play as a regular human this time, considering that there hasn't been a main human character since your first game, still it made me miss all the other wonderful ladies I played across your games for sure. There was definitely a lot more characters in this game compared to your others for sure, I would've loved to see more interactions amongst them. Faye is nice and all, but MIKE., your boi MIKE is hella chill, and he don't talk back or anything. MIKE is on the GRIND 24/7, so I really appreciate his character. i would love to see more of him in future games. Oh and Gracie is cool to...I guess. I'm kidding of course.

Overall, I really liked this game. It was simplistic in terms of gameplay, but I'm always sticking around for your stories. Honestly, I would like to see a follow up to the IXY company because I'm sure we'll get something there, considering that Gracie mentioned how the company used shady tactics to get some cheap computer chips. So yeah, another banger from Zed, I hope to see more of the ZTU (Zed Technician Universe) expand, in which we'll get callbacks to old characters. Good job, and keep it up with Amanda the Adventurer. I think you're helping to develop that game, so I can't wait to see that next year. Is it perhaps that these games are used as concepts to see which one works best for the Amanda games? I don't k now of course, but I hope to see if it does. Thanks for reading this Zed, I appreciate the work.

always a surprise to see a new game out. I finished and I'll be honest, it was pretty ok. I always enjoy it when new mechanics are added as I progress the game, but it didn't feel like much of a challenge in that matter. It felt slow in a way where I just keep going until I get something new. It's different compared to Vermander because, although I was simply going door to door with tasks, there was that mechanic where I had to keep track of medication. In here, although I still went door to door with tasks, if something happened to the candles then I do something about it. It just felt very linear, I guess that's what I mean to say. I did like your story though. I loved the nod to Vermander because we gotta link together the Zed Gaming Universe. I enjoyed the quick game, but it's definitely not out there compared to the other games.

Learned that you were disappointed with how the game turned out, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I figured it was a new thing you wanted to apply from both previous games, seeing as it was doing tasks to prevent an intruder coming in, taking care of patients (good concept on that one), while it was randomized.  I would've liked to see an expert mode on this, like more tasks and more times to give medication, with a faster time. Also, I love the characters, they seem like dedicated people that Nurse Morton and Dr. Eda, and I enjoy how every true ending feels like I'm reading a story book at its end. Continue drawing more empowering characters, and I hope to see more from ya. Not a furry btw, more of an indie game enthusiast ya know.
